In-Place Sterilized Glass Fermenter

Make Fermentation More Efficient with Integrated Process Equipment
Shanghai Wurtz Biotechnology Co., Ltd. offers customized fermenters tailored to various needs. Based on the growth characteristics and requirements of plant cells, animal cells, and microorganisms, we provide different configurations. The fermenter body is made of transparent glass, allowing for clear observation of the internal structure and fermentation process, making it ideal for teaching demonstrations. It can be integrated with laboratory-scale fermenters for pilot-scale fermentation, and we offer technical support for scale-up. Additionally, it can be connected to post-fermentation processing equipment, helping customers establish a complete fermentation production line—from strain cultivation to fermentation, and from fermentation to post-processing.

Product Features:
  • Inner and Outer Mirror Polishing Treatment: Minimizes the risk of contamination.

  • Optional Standard and Non-Standard Stirring Blades: Designed to fit fermenter bodies with various diameter-to-height ratios, catering to different microbial fermentation processes.

  • Sanitary 316L Stainless Steel Bottom Ring Gas Distributor: Professionally engineered for uniform bubble distribution and clog-free pores.

  • Fermentation-Specific Baffle Plate: Ensures excellent convection within the tank during stirring, providing both radial and axial flow for high mass transfer efficiency.

  • Mechanical Pressing Type Defoaming Blade (Primary): Rapidly and effectively breaks down foam, equipped with a defoaming electrode for automatic foam detection and proportional addition of defoamer.

  • Servo Motor: Compact and responsive, with no startup delay.

  • Parameter Settings for Temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Speed, Defoaming, and Feeding.

  • PID Automatic Control Mode: Provides precise control of temperature and pH, reducing fluctuations.

  • Sequential Control of Temperature, pH, DO, Speed, Defoaming, and Feeding.

  • Multiple Feed Control Strategies: Offers pH-linked feeding, DO-linked feeding, exponential feeding, linear feeding, and segmented feeding modes.

  • Control System Connectable to Upper-Level Computer: Allows uploading of fermentation process parameters for monitoring, analysis, and comparison.

  • Data Analysis Capability: Can store and review at least 1000 batches of fermentation data and historical records.

Biological fermentation supporting software

The BIOTECH series can control or collect 14 direct parameters including pH, DO, tank pressure, temperature, speed, air flow rate, exhaust O2, exhaust CO2, feed weight, and fermentation liquid volume. It can also calculate indirect parameters and accurately display the material balance and changes within the fermentation process. This allows users to analyze the correlations within the fermentation process and simultaneously display any number of curves from different fermentation batches for comparative analysis. This helps users determine suitable control points to achieve the goal of scaling up from pilot to production. Additionally, it supports standard communication protocols, enabling direct communication and feedback control with fully automated online sampling analyzers or biochemical analyzers to achieve online control of substrate concentrations such as glucose.
